My Prince William and Kate Middleton's NYC Itinerary
Prince William and Kate Middleton will be visiting NY in early December. Their itinerary is already set and will include stops at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Brooklyn Nets games at the Barclays Center and dinner at the Met.
{The} Native Creative Concierge has places I think the couple should visit on their first trip to New York.
Something Very "New York"
Since they are technically tourists, I'll allow one typical tourist stop. Top of the Rock. Awesome views from a great central location. Timed, ticketed slots so they can book a large block of time for some snuggle time over NYC and look down upon what could've been theirs.
Honoring British-American History
Yeah, so, a few centuries ago America, which at the time was mere colonies, decided we wanted our independence. That required war, cause Mother England had no interest in letting go. Much of the Revolutionary War was fought in what is now New York. Starting at 181st Street, they should visit Fort Washington Park, then head north take note of Magaw Place named after Colonel Robert Magaw, Bennett Park (highest natural point in Manhattan), and Fort Tryon Park. A plus? Great Britain won the Battle of Fort Washington so that should make the Royal couple feel all warm and fuzzy inside despite frigid temperatures.
A Taste of Home
A big part of travel is to experience a new culture. But it's comforting at times to see a little bit of home when you're on the road. Greenwich Avenue, or Little Britain as it's called, can provide the warm embrace of home for the Royal couple. I love A Salt & Battery. Thick fillets of Fish and crispy chips for the win. Fancy a spot of tea? Tea & Sympathy next door has got them covered.
The royal couple will be in NY for 3-days. But if they were to book an excursion with me, these are a few of the place I'd include on their private tour.
